Hi guys. I did actually start posting this a year ago but never got to really finish it. Anyway. now its all on green light. The bad thing is, it went through a fire too and I had to remake and replace a lot of the hardware and self made parts. At the end of the day here it is and its truly turned out well. THE NEXT OF QIN, is an hommage to 2200 years of chinese history that depicts it culture, lore, art, warfare weaponry and splendour. All the way from the halberts and armour plates, along with pavilion like selfmade liquid cooling reservoirs lifting and holding the roof of the Chinese architectural temple. You will find 1000s of intricate details like the roof tiles that took me 2 weeks to cut and stick precisely in place. Every single armour plate has been stuck on after hand chamfering them all in an precisely unprecise way to make each one as individual as possible. It has a set of internal speakers that play chinese cultural music automatically after its booted up. And how do we boot it up, well of course with the bronze gong in thhe front by hammering on it. The side pedestals are both decorated with chines QIN dynasty halberts and the whole architecture is protected by the terracotta army of 52 different soldiers which I made individually yb casting 4 different type in gypsum. The Roof is actually just resting on the two self made square parapet pedestalled reservoirs and secured with camouflaged bamboo cords and steps leading down into the temples dungeon, where all the hardware is held and concealed. The paint job way of course the breaker or maker here. I didnt want to go modern chinese reds and gold, but wanted to of course portray them colours too, so i gave it a more intense reddish, maroon brown and darker blacks with brinze and copper touches here and there. Special thanks to Coolermaster for the following hardware upon which it is based. Even though I modified the out of this one, its based upon a Coolermaster Masterbox MB600L and a CM V1000 PSU. Together with the RTX 3070 founders edition from Nvidia. Thanks to them for that. Together with n MSI Z270 and Intel CPU its all water cooled by Thermaltake.Thanks to them for yet another whole set of Liquid cooling components and the RGB Ram. and now for the pictures which speak more than i can tell you about this 800 hour and 11 month build

hi qs, yes, i love being loyal to the theme. here are some more details. :-) this is gonna be a really cultural piece of art again. i think tomorrow i will do the break down after making the gong into the power switch.then its all about putty paint n polish.well, wirkjing and all that horrible stuff too.so, thanks to my mate stefan in usa, who is a japanologist and can actually read what i had on the reservoirs. (chinese) i changed the writing to some engraved chinese wall plates. i couldnt tell which way up or round the chinese caligraphy was supposed to be. so thats changed.i set in the acrylic inlays for the top name sign too. paint will dirts them up. i also made many many cabel covers.

hi guys, here is some more progress. i changed the plan and made some new storm turrets to rest the tubes on that now have two extra bends. i also utilised another part of the case, the io panel at the back. this pc now has a voice too, two speakers are worked in.

so i continued work on the halberds. these were really an innovative combination of lance, pulling and thrusting flesh cutting hacking weapon.seeing as this is indeed a QIN and chinese design of them, i had to integrate them.I have made 4 of acrylic and am using them to set of the reservoir parapets on both sides. almost finished and weathered a bit too. not exactly finished but already looking quite good.

Of course, seeing as I am back in my time schedule, I will try to post every day to get as much finished in the next feew days, My next aim is the DCMM which is postponed till mid 2021. So its all in for that now.

Hi everyone. sorry for the silence here but unfortunately I lost my dad on the 2nd of Jan 2021. He passed away silently in the night. So I had to rush to England, which wasnt that easy in this Covid and Brexit time. Quarantine there, quarantine here, burial arrangements and so forth. Was all very difficult for the whole family. He was looking forward to seeing this Mod finished. Thats saddening, but I am back in action again and staying busy is the best way to keep my mind off his departure I guess. So here goes. Of course, It wount be finished now because of all this so even though I wont meet the deadline with it completed, I am still in to show its progess. First of all I did some roof work before I left. ans also made the enclosures for the two pillar side reservoirs. The whole roofing of this case which resemples the forbidden city, is resting on these reservoirs and tied down with jute cord later.

Hi guys, I guess you all noticed, this case is now a casemod TOWER build and the other one has become a Scratchbuild. We swapped them.

hi guys, so now this c ase is getting roofed and the mainboard is being integrated.apart from that i started making some halberds for decoration the reservoir pavilions.the whole lid/ roof structure is resting on the self made reservoirs.

and here are the pics well here you can see the templating for the pavilion halberd lances.the pavilions will hold the self made square reservoirs which again will hold the roof of the mod. i want the whole look to resemble the forbidden city a bit. but in QIN PC stylehttps://forums.bit-tech.net/styles/default/xenforo/clear.png.

hi guys, first of all thanks to CM for prolonging the deadline. covis has really brought up certain problems that needed more time to rig here. so i am glad for the extra two weeks. i wish it were a full month though. anyway. its the same situation all over the world so i must be content too. After the BIG BAD BATTLE BOX, I now am all in onn THE NEXT OF QIN. here are some progress pics. i started the base and the mid section. a long way to go and i am using the laser too this time because of the lost time. is still full or more hand made parts than most mnods but am saving time a bit for cutting at least. all parts are of course my own design and not just copied and printed. so here goes. thanks to coolermaster for the case, keyboards, psu and other small things. also thanks to thermaltake for their great cooling hardware and ram etc.. more details to both the partners hardware will follow as soon as i integrate them. one of the chinese defining features was getting the the cirled up roof sides, but i found a way of doing that too

Hi guys, here is the second making of video of my new project called NEXT OF QIN, The Eternal Army. Its all about the Base upon which the QIN Army will make its last stand here. With "Next of QIN" I will be yet again be delving into the history books with this scratch build. With all the research and details that it deserves. EPIC is the word! Its all about the Terracotta Army that was dug up in 1974 in China. It is by far the greatest discovery of the century and was Built by none the less that QIN SHI HUANG. Also the name patron of China. QIN-A. Its estimated to be over 2300 years old. The whole army hasnt been uncovered yet but with every square inch dug up, new chapters in chinese history are being revealed. More to come.

the next step was to start raising an army. i am going to need archers, henchmen, infantry, commanders etc.. what i did was, i bought a pack of little solddiers and cut them in half, down their spines, then i made a silicone mold again to replicate and multiply them. i still need to dremel off the overspilt parts, but the results were just as i wanted. and the army is growing. i will be making chiese ancient bells myself which will be uncoinventional reservoirs too. thats the next step. oh and by the way, i actually made a small sketch this time, but it has already evolved too, so this will not be what i now have in mind.

ok guys, its time for an update now. The QIN Dynasty or rather THE NEXT OF QIN`s army is slowly awaking. first of all I would like to share a video of me making one of QINS heads and then a mold of silicone to replicate it with plaster of paris. I made the first head with clay but cannot bake it at 900°s so i opted to use it as a prop for the mold. thats good, because i could then make more than one.

AD Welcome to my worklog of the Scratch build entry for the CMWS2020.Once again I am delving into the history books for this one.I simply love doing this.This one is dedicated to the "QIN" Dynasty and the Terracotta Army which was found in 1974.Much much more to come...The sketches are just the first rough ideas.Details, details and many more dteials, all true to the theme and handmade as usual! Thats the promise.
