Cooler Master Liquid Pro 240 Installation Problem ?

I was buy a Cooler Master Liquid Pro 240 about 3 week ago and i have some question in the installation step, I used LAG 1156 Socket. The problem is backplate of MasterLuqid Pro 240 hard to stick to Motherboard, i follow the installation manual step and the harder step is attached the pump to backplate , because the backplate cant lock and stick into the motherboard, it just screw to motherboard but dont stick with it, and when installing the pump the backplate will fall down , can you suggestion for easy step for installation ?

try this step :  Place the bracket before installing the motherboard in your case. Ask someone for help if you're having difficulties on doing this on your own.

  3. Hello there, may I ask how much heat energy can the CM LiquidMaster Pro 120 and CM LiquidMaster Pro 240 dissipate respectively?

I was wondering if the CM LiquidMaster Pro 120 is sufficient enough to cool down my i7-6700K processor which has a TDP of about 91Watts.

Salam if you malay la ......

    you want Oc ke ?

  4. Ok, need some help guys.

Love the Mastercase Maker 5 - however before I purchase, my question is with an EATX board. From what you guys are saying above, will fit an EATXyes? I'm looking at the: 'ASUS ROG RAMPAGE V EDITION 10, for X99 LGA2011-3 Extreme Processors,

Dimensions: EATX, 12-inch. Will this also fit the Maker 5 ?

    Cheers

    Hey Man

    Welcome to CM forum

we already notice that maker 5 only support up to ATX type of motherboard .

But you can contact customer services maybe they have solution as you mention above .

    Hope this can help

  5. Thank you for your advice.

But here is my problem. As you can see in the pic below, the CHA_Fan 1 is located too far away from the pump. Can I plug the pump into CHA_Fan 2 instead?

    Any suggestion please?

    14915204_1197965010249160_64154938842786

    i cant see your attachment .. :(

But you can try CHA_fan 2 and 3 if available ...

Anyway the pump wire cant reach the Cha Fan 1 area ?

  6. Thank you for your quick reply.

My motherboard is Asrock z170 extreme7+ and I'm using a PWM Y-Splitter to connect both of my fans to CPU Fan 1 while the pump is connecting to CPU Fan 2. Am I doing anything wrong?

I just checked out you board :

    - 2 x CPU Fan Connectors (4-pin) (Smart Fan Speed Control)
    - 4 x Chassis Fan Connectors (4-pin) (Smart Fan Speed Control)

The Pump should be plug into System Fan 1 or Chassis_Fan 1 meanwhile the fans should be plug into Cpu Fan Header

    And run full speed .
  7. Hey

    Welcome to CM forum .

Here is link .. maybe useful for you : http://coolermaster.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/FAQ/Liquid-Cooling-Where-do-I-connect-the-Fans-and-Pump/?l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

The reason why you want to connect the pump to a different header is because the CPU Fan header is always a PWM header. Some board may only have 1 PWM header so you want to use this for the PWM fans that come with the cooler.

About the temp i think is good ( but maybe can get lower than as you mention )

  8. I was contacted via telephone today 8/30/2016 by a couple of Cooler Master customer service representatives. They explained that the problems that I had experienced so far with Cooler Master as a misunderstanding. Furthermore, they have offered to examine and/or pay for or replace any damages or damaged equipment caused by their failed component. After talking to them and being an honest person, I feel it necessary to rename this group "Cooler Master Integrity" in every real sense. I would once again consider purchasing Cooler Master products with the confidence that they are the type of company that has real values.

    :)

  9. I do know that the picture just showed the controller installed (though that was an audio controller, not a fan controller).  But it was still on ASUS's primary webpage for advertising the motherboard, which is a special edition board they're putting out.  It seemed odd to me that they would advertise a premium product with a case that can't actually fit the board, even if they never state or show that it would fit.

I do appreciate the response, though.  So thank you.

So the standard ATX board fits, but doesn't block the grommets at all, so extended boards may fit (if small enough), but would start to cover them.  So I'd lose 1.2 inches of the grommet (length the board is over the standard ATX).  Which is most of them.  But I think it will still work.

That's very helpful.  Knowing what sort of an impact it will have is exactly what I wanted.  I feared I wouldn't be able to get it in the case at all.  The Pro 5 and Maker 5 have been the highest recommended cases I've seen, so I was concerned about the fit.

Now my final step is to figure out how best to fit the card I'm planning on using.  Also going with ASUS in this case, trying to get the Strix 1080 OC.  Which measures in at:

    11.73 " x 5.28 " x 1.57 " Inch

    29.8 x 13.4 x4 Centimeter

Dang it.  .03 inches (or 0.2 cm) over what it will support without removing the HDD cage.

Well, I'm not going to use an HDD, I'll be going for a Samsung 850 Pro SSD.  I haven't built with an SSD this small before (the last one I got was seven or eight years ago, and was still about the size of an HDD).  So, what would the case look like with the cage removed, and what is the best place to mount an SSD on the case with the cage removed?

    Back to you story ...

You can check at CM site regarding lenght VGA for Mastercase Pro 5

VGA Card Support as below :

    w/ 3.5" HDD Cage  296mm/11.7inches   296mm/11.7inches

    w/o 3.5" HDD Cage 412mm/16.2inches    412mm/16.2inches

Well for more save you have to remove the HDD cage . :)
  10. Hello Skyblade,

If you scroll down a few posts, this customer installed an MSI X99 E-ATX.

So its possible but the grommets will be slightly covered.

True .... Agree with You Bro ....

That M/B will fit, but you will have a bit less room for cable management through the openings.   :)

  11. I recently ordered the ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 motherboard.  On the ASUS website, it clearly shows an image of the Coolmaster Pro 5 being used in conjunction with this board:

    https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-RAMPAGE-V-EDITION-10/overview/

    audio.png

That is the Pro 5's front and I/O setup.

However, the Specifications page lists it as an E-ATX board.

    Extended ATX Form Factor

    12 inch x 10.7 inch ( 30.5 cm x 27.2 cm )

So, could the Pro 5 and Maker support this board or not?

    Hi

dont know if this useful for you or not : http://www.overclock.net/t/1570053/cooler-master-mastercase-5-series-owners-club/180
