Project: Black and White

While I am waiting for the guys from the workshop with the laser to cut the text in one of the aluminium plates, I’ve decided to install the sponsored ADATA SSD and SODIMM memories and try how the mod will work.

First was the SSD. I had to disassemble the whole mod just to install the drive.

Next were the SODIMMS:

After I was done with reassembling the mod I was like – SSD + 8GB memory, I should install Windows and check how the machine performs. And since I don’t have DVD pre-installed and probably not enough power to use one, I had to improvise and use the DVD from my PC by powering it with the Cooler Master Silent Pro 600 and connect the sata cable to the Black and White.

It was a huge mess but the result was satisfying.

A week ago, my friend Mr3D aka Daniel made me a huge favour to draw me a scheme so I can go to a workshop with a laser and get a text cut inside one of the aluminium plates.

So here is the result:

Ok seems I will have to think how to improve the light because it's spreading horizontally inside the acrylic plate but almost not vertically:

scaled.php?server=266&filename=img5912cv.jpg&res=landing

And I want to say again: Thanks Daniel for the awesome work and your help!

About a week ago, I sent all of the aluminium parts I have done for painting. The paint is black matt and I hope you like the result:

After I picked all of the parts they look like this:

scaled.php?server=203&filename=img5963i.jpg&res=landing

scaled.php?server=28&filename=img5965b.jpg&res=landing

scaled.php?server=688&filename=img5968y.jpg&res=landing

I was soo excited so I started to assemble the mod asap.

Of course I had to start from the bottom:

scaled.php?server=35&filename=img5971u.jpg&res=landing

Second layer installed

scaled.php?server=121&filename=img5974l.jpg&res=landing

With motherboard and sodimms installed:

scaled.php?server=687&filename=img5975x.jpg&res=landing

All parts together. Looks nice ?

scaled.php?server=196&filename=img5977j.jpg&res=landing

scaled.php?server=40&filename=img5983j.jpg&res=landing

So, let’s check how it looks with all lights on:

scaled.php?server=801&filename=img5981v.jpg&res=landing

scaled.php?server=832&filename=img5984ns.jpg&res=landing

scaled.php?server=13&filename=img6054tv.jpg&res=landing

And of course some pictures in the dark:

scaled.php?server=42&filename=img6058k.jpg&res=landing

scaled.php?server=855&filename=img6055di.jpg&res=landing

scaled.php?server=96&filename=img6056ck.jpg&res=landing

scaled.php?server=840&filename=img6053z.jpg&res=landing

Now is time to thank my sponsors again:
