Hi @ all,

this is my entry for the CM Casemod Competition 2012, it´s based on a CM ATCS 840 it will loose a bit of his height. Beside that it will get a Steampunk /Bioshock Infinite inspired theme but enough of the words...you will see....

yeah it´s really a great case, but it was too big for just m-atx hardware ...so it had to be shortened

after finishing the shrinking process, the next step was to bake a few parts of the case to change the color of the anodized metal....

COOLER MASTER ... MAKE THIS SOON... REALLY. FTW...

And send this man some money for a great Engineering Challenge.. The 840 was so ugly.. And this looks so Good.

A copper color would look so nice.. Like the Lian Li Special Edition

thanks a lot m8´s!!!

what did you do to those parts before you heat treated them??!!! that is amazing!

oh nothing too special...i just cleaned all parts which gets baked so that nothing sticks on them....because every bit of dirt would be visible after the baking process (you also have to remove all plastic parts and everything what cannot take the heat)

@Enigma8750 thank you very much!!! Your comment is just too kind! didn´t know that CM will bring this out. I already hear that they like it ....but didn´t know that they like it that much :D

And now, it´s time for the next update: :D

as next Step i prepared all the parts which are needed to build a mechanical iris, it will be placed on one of the Sidepanels and cover a Thermometer which will be connected to the water loop....

in the same time the sidepanels where put into the oven so that they get baked like the most parts of the case....

51.jpg

after cutting out all parts for the iris....the parts where airbrushed with a custom wood grain...

52.jpg

54.jpg

the next parts which should also get that wood grain was the top of the case........
