Hi everybody! The time has come for a new case mod. I'm naming the mod No. 29 only because copper has number 29 in the periodic table. The colors I'm going for are white, copper and black. I've seen that color combo a couple times before but at least I know it looks good!
 
The case I'm gonna mod is a Cooler Master Cosmos II. I really like the look of it and have been wanting to have one since it came out. Cosmos II is a bit of a pain to mod with all the plastic but I do like a challange:dremel:

Case: Cooler Master Cosmos II
MB: Asus Rampage IV Extreme Black Edition
CPU: 4930K
RAM: 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 2400MHz
GPU's: Zotac Geforce GTX Titan 3-Way SLI
PSU: Cooler Master V1200
SSD's: Samsung EVO 500GB + 1TB

A little taste of whats to come. I need to get some 10mm pipes for the front grill though. That's 12mm in the picture. All pipes will be polished as well, should look cool:D

I've continued to work on the front panel this weekend. This is what I got so far.

Front filter removed to show off the pipes better. I'll most likely have the front as exhaust anyway so the filter isn't needed.

A little preview. Try to ignore that the pipes are dirty, they're going to be polished later on. I'm going to paint the front and roof panels in white. There's also going to be white mesh in front of the pipes.

Next up is to do the fan hole and cut out for the I/O and pci. Also have to cut some more in the back of the case to make room for the fan.

Update time:) I've continued to work on some panels/mods for a couple of days.

I've cut out the fan hole and I/O in the backpanel which is now ready for paint.

Since I'm going for a 480 rad in the roof the whole roof needs to be ventilated. So I made this panel instead of the normal slide-panel.

It's going to look something like this. The panel is not screwed tight in the picture, that's why it's not level with the mesh. The mesh and plastic is going to be painted in white.

The panel to the right of the MB-tray is going to serve both as reinforcement for the MB-tray and as a cover plate. Just need to cut some cable management holes in it.

Time for another update! I've spent all free time this last week on prepping and painting. Put everything together to see it as whole before I tear it down again to continue to work on the case:) The copper pipes that are going in the front are excluded in the pics though. I will also do a large window in the door. It will be my first time bending plexi:)

I've also made a lightbox for this case. A little different than my last one though. This one is black but lights up white:)

Here's all the pieces I cut out for this lightbox. From the left: 3mm mirrored plexi, "walls" made from white 3mm plexi, the black top piece 3mm and an 8mm clear piece that I've sanded matte for a more even light distribution.

I've soldered a couple of LED strips together and mounted them to the walls and I've put in the middle piece.

I only had one 240 and one 360 rad mount. So I cut one fan size off the 360.

I've continued to work on the cover plates for the rads. Turns out I made a mistake on the first panel. The mistake I made was to just mount the fans without rad to the radmount when I took the measurements for the fan holes. As a result the holes came out about 2mm to far apart, didn't look right. I will redo that panel. Thought I'd show you these pictures anyway on how I've mounted the panel as the new one will be mounted the same way.

Next will be to redo the first cover plate. I will also redo the upper cover plate for the MB. I want it to cover the whole backside of the motherboard tray. That's going to allow easy cable management with p-clips and look much cleaner:)

I've mounted switches and my Aquaero to the front panel. I'll use one switch for PWR and one for the lightbox. Reset switches are overrated:)

I'm using plastic spacers between the panel and the MB-tray. The screws are obviously going to be shortened or switched to shorter ones:)
