streulsberg
Alright modders, welcome to my scratch build log. This is a pretty big deal for me, as it is the first PC build, scratch build, build log, and competition entry I've ever done. It's also my first Windows machine. Anyway, it's called Project Athena. Athena is the Greek Goddess of Wisdom, and this machine is to help me through my masters degree, which I hope will bring me some knowledge and wisdom! I need primarily rendering power, as well as light gaming, so have gone for a high(ish) end processor, and skimped on the GPU. Hopefully I'll upgrade in the near future. Also dual booting Windows and Mac OS X, so multiple drives of various types. I am also AIO cooling to get a better overclock without going for full blown custom watercooling. I have had to factor these things into the design, along with the physical space I wish to put the PC. This space is one of the cubby holes in some IKEA furniture that makes up my desk, which is 330x330x370mm. That's all for now, I will post initial designs and the start of my build log tomorrow hopefully Thanks for reading!
