Scott Garland Posted May 23, 2015 Share Posted May 23, 2015 I am trying to install a Hyper 212 Evo on a 2011-v3 socket (core i7-5960 CPU). The motherboard is a ASUS X-99-DELUXE. I was given two sets of standoff screws with the 212 EVO, with the instructions calling for using the shorter of the two to install the fan. The problem is that they seem too short (the spring loaded screws don't reach the threads). I tried using the longer set of standoffs, but they don't appear to be tight enough and the fan is loose.
