Will not you paint your game box?? or cutting strips sticker maybe?? I will be applying the first coat of paint, this Saturday or Sunday. I may stencil in some of the logos from the components that I had used in the making of the case. Soon... very soon... this will be complete! Bob Lindall
4-23-2017 Update! Almost done. I've had an insane schedule at work, recently, so progress has been slow. It will be finished my the May 3rd deadline... but, it may not be everything that I wanted it to be. Of course... I have a ridiculous week ahead of me, this week, having to work out of town for a few days and having a few more, really long days! Here we go: The process of the getting the component area enclosed. Painting the exterior. Working on the cabling. Mapping out and cutting the intake portions and floor board. And how it currently looks. I think, I'm going to go with a two-tone color scheme for this. And... for a special treat, a good buddy of mine decided to stop by with his son. To say the least... I think he likes it! https://www.facebook.com/no.other.bob/videos/10154576658538526/

My roommate, who is 6' 4", doesn't have any issues, either. Speakers are ok, for right now. That reflective material doesn't help, but that's why I plan on putting a Microfiber cover over all of those surfaces. That should sufficiently deaden the reverb caused by the interior. As for VR, maybe in the future. I'm not a huge fan of it at the moment, due to issues with vertigo and not being able to focus well on the screens inside the goggles. Thanks, however! See if you can cover the surfaces with wool instead. It's naturally fire resistant and a of a lot more environmentally friendly. On the VR front, I'm waiting for better resolution as the screen-door effect really doesn't suit my intended use-case. Should you tackle the vertigo/focus issues, your setup would be awesome for VR (nobody can sneak up on you)
Bob Lindall
5-1-2017 Update! Down to the wire! That's right, I only have two more days to complete my project and finalize my submission to the Cooler Master Case Mod World Series. Here's the latest bevy of photos. Partially, to hide the ugliness of some of my cuts and partially to help cut out any exterior light sources, I added a flexible door strip to the front of the system. For the intake fans, beneath the seat. Finalizing the interior wiring up front. The Subwoofer is now carpeted. Building the last bit of floor covering and wire covering. Painting the remaining panels (except for the back). What's left? Well... not much, thankfully. I don't think I'll have enough time to cover the interior insulation properly, so I may go with how those currently look. Which, given the nature of the lighting of the interior, those shiny doors actually help to increase visibility within the unit. I will be replacing the casters. I don't like the ones that I have used and I bought some larger, swivel type casters. Hopefully, they will improve the overall mobility of the case. And now... I'm off to the dentist... so I probably, won't get any more of it completed, tonight. Thanks!
Bob Lindall
FINISHED!!! !!! Here is the link to the final video that I my buddy shot for me, this evening, watching me go over the whole system!Walkthrough of the whole system And here are the final pictures! The computer component intakes: The bottom of the system, complete with new casters and a bottom view of the intake fans: The carpeted Subwoofer floor panel: The Final floor panel, which also hides the wiring: Aaaaand... The finished product! I hope you all like it! I'm finalizing my youtube video tonight, so that I can have it ready for my official, finalized entry into the competition. Once that is finished, I will post that link here, as well. It will be 3 hours long, so grab some popcorn if you decide to watch! Thanks for all of your support, everyone! It's going to be an interesting week, coming up. With the excitement of having this entered into competition and the uh... not so excitement of being homeless, come next Wednesday. I guess we'll all see what happens next, right?
