TermudaSquare
- Motherboard mod’s !! - Dissemble MB to paint the armor. Actually painted it the first time and the matte paint I used was just a hue different then the matte paint I usually use, But was able to repaint it a second time. (Actually replaced south bridge cooling compound as well while I was working with the board) - Added the waterblock while I was at it. - Added a little bit of detail by replacing factory logos with black brushed aluminum. - ( Not pictured ) De stickered the memory. TermudaSquare
- Making the outside stand out !! - Decided to go a little out of order and since the stickers arrived on time. Figured I’d give it some Coolermaster flare ! - I made a sticker design with coolermaster logos and I do not have a vinyl cutter so most of my time waiting was for stickers this whole build. TermudaSquare
- Fan time !! - Working with not the best budget so decided to paint these fans I already had and make custom coolermaster stickers for them as well. And decided to sleeve the fans as well, a BIG thanks to GSCUSTOMZ for the sleeving materials.
TermudaSquare
- More frame cutting and hole drilling !! - Never have seen a one piece PSU cover for the mastercase 5 , so figured I’d try my hand at it !! And it actually lead to disaster but I was able to fix it after..... two full sets of stickers and two times painting. And 3 different times making the psu cover I got it perfect. (Cut mid plate lip to accommodate for the curve in psu cover)
TermudaSquare
- Psu cover disaster #1 - Was all going smooth, even made the PSU cover twice cause first one measurements were off. But when it came around to paint is when disaster struck..... (first one didn’t go well cause I did not have the acrylic bender and tried a heat gun, but second one with acrylic bender came out awesome until paint disaster happened) - Even painted it in a paint booth and the humidity screwed me, had to put on paint a bit thicker... and, the stickers didn’t quite peel so good. TermudaSquare
- When disaster struck - Since it was so humid when I painted I had to put on the paint a bit thicker which lead to tragedy. - So decides to strip the paint and more tragedy happened, I’ve never use this paint before and it wasn’t even coming off with a sander it was like a clay consistency. So decided to use paint thinner (bad idea) it cracked the piece. - So I said whatever!! I don’t need the stickers for now I’ll do the extra work and make the one with sponsors down the line after fitment. - So I used windshield glass crack filler filled the cracks wet sanded and painted black so I had something to go off of to get the rest of the parts made. As I needed PSU cover for sizing for other parts & liquid cooling routes due to bulkheads .
