As I love doing themed builds, its a pretty common thing to put a figure in you're build of the character you're doing the theme after, like a pops for example. This build, however, is obviously something a bit too important to simply place a pops inside and call it a themed build! I will be using a figure of Darth Revan, but I'm going to try something new to me for this project.. wish him luck ;)

Ill post his fate a little later on in the worklog.

I also wanted to post the first picture of the 2nd very key point of the build. To achieve the Darth Revan theme, I needed the mask, but I also need .. his lightsabers! Every Jedi or Sith is identifiable because of the lightsaber they use, and in Darth Revan's case, he was so powerful he could wield two lightsabers, drawing on both the Light and Dark side of the Force. So here's a picture to show what I'll be using as his lightsabers, more to come on that process a little later in my worklog.

Hello everyone ! I'm excited to jump into battle for this years CMWS20 !    My name is Derek Wilson, and I build PC's as Rhoadspc. This will be my very first year entering the Coolermaster C

With the main chassis painted a rose gold, and the shroud over the bottom 2x200mm case fans painted a chestnut brown, I was able to start to test fit components back into the case. The system will have a dual loop, with one 240mm radiator on top and one on the front, as you can see. The radiators, fans and CPU block used are all Alphacool for this project! :D

I definitely think the Aurora RGB CPU block looks pretty great on the Asus Maximus board used, and the chrome alongside the RGB will really look great once I get it fired up and the lighting tuned in the way I have planned.

Also making a cameo in this shot, is the Seasonic AirTouch 750W chosen for this build because of its quality but also its colors!

With the mask complete and painting complete for the main chassis, my attention has been on the lightsaber reservoirs.

There will be 2 of them as Revan used 2 lightsabers! One red and one purple, which will feature some epic Mod Water made by ModMyMods! Here is a photo of the lightsaber handles that were made, theyre cleaned up and primed all I've got left to do on these is drill the appropriate holes I'll need for tubing/fittings and to paint them. I plan to paint these with a basecoat by airbrush, then the rest by hand.

In addition to the handles and coloured coolant to match the theme, I thought some visible electrical kind of lightning bolts on the sabers themselves would look cool and add to the theme. These were also 3D printed, then heated to shape and glued on.

With the sabers nearly complete, I took some time to work on the top panel. This was an idea I saw on one of the first bit-tech builds I ever watched, which was the Bloodlines build, Leatherworking !! Now I'm no professional but I did have fun here, I even went to the leather supply store, told them of my project and they taught me what to do there at the store it was pretty fun :)

The idea was just to wrap the top panel in leather and dye it a dark brown, as to match with Revan's cloak and armor.

More pictures coming soon as all this work on individual parts starts to come together in the build itself :D

Well !! Let’s get some work done on the work log shall we ;)

Shown below are the 3D printed lightsaber handles Ive made and painted to model after Darth Revan’s lightsabers. These were printed, primed and painted by hand, using mission model paints. I’ll add a couple picture of painting them, it was a very relaxed day spent on them, my favourite.

Okay, the lightsabers are ready !! Now, how do we mount them...Ah, time for modding up a bracket to support the dual lightsaber pump/res combos.

For this I measured and cut a piece of stock 3/16 aluminum. I then lined up the brackets that fasten to the pump/res combo units, marked the holes and then drilled.

I also had to mark and drill holes in the SL600M to mount the bracket securely.

Lastly I sanded, primed and painted the bracket black.

With the bracket for the lightsabers done, and the lightsabers themselves done, the front of the case is nearly ready to come together. What was left was a bit of graphics and to actually prime and paint the front panel, as well as the plastic shroud that encases the front radiator, which I had to cut a few inches of off at the bottom using my dremel, to fit the new aluminum bracket.

Sanded down, primed and painted with a Flame Blue grey, I then taped off the section I wanted to highlight.

I painted the areas I wanted to highlight with the powerful Flame Blue Red, and moved on to adding a bit of texture using one of the first things I ever tried with PC modding, good old Vinyl !

Okay, let’s put it all together now ;)

I think it looks pretty cool!!

Some small details I didn’t mention yet,

I 3D printed some small translucent lightning bolt effects to attach to the lightsabers, and airbrushed on a bit of colour to add a bit of a glowing effect to the bolts.

Ive also attached a single UV LED to the bottom of each reservoir to charge the UV reactive coolant. Let’s hope these lightsabers glow and have the look I’m imagining!!
