Yiwv
THE CAD (pt 2) I made a lot of changes since the last time I shared the 3D model. I deleted a lot of things and moved the hard drive and the GPU placements. I'm not going to use that graphics card, I used it in the model just to have an Idea how it would/will look and ensure the cuts are in the right position If you want to know, these are the 3D models in the design: Radiator: https://grabcad.com/library/ek-coolstream-se-240-slim-dual-1 Motherboard: https://grabcad.com/library/atx-itx-motherboard-foot-print-1 120mm Fan: https://grabcad.com/library/computer-fan-120mm-1 3.5" Hard Drive: https://grabcad.com/library/3-5-hard-drive-hdd-1 Graphics Card: https://grabcad.com/library/amd-radeon-rx-vega-56-64-reference-
Yiwv
THE EXPLANATION The blue lines are going to be LED strips. The light will be diffused by the white body (Watch the orange arrow) The red box will be an acrylic sheet and the corners will be held by the emmm... those pieces without name highlighted by the red arrow _____ The piece in red will help hidding the cables connected to the power supply The piece in blue will do nothing, just decorative The piece in green is the mounting bracket for the waterpump, in the middle have a hole to pass the tubing ___ The piece of wood will help to attach the PCIe riser cable The riser cable will go in through the hole in red and go out through the holes in orange I need to separate both PCIe holes because there is little space for some wide graphics cards. ___ I don't want to let things in the air so I would like to have all faces in the right position. So I did this holes to held the position of the faces. I will not use laser cut, just a normal CNC, so I need to know that all corners will have their respective curves. Yiwv
I'm happy how this is going. I'll just add some renders here.
Yiwv
THE FINAL CAD Last night I invested a lot of time doing the corrections and other little things that I forget. Here are the renders and later I'll explain some details.
Yiwv
THE STRESS (pt 2) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Remember when I said "then in 1-3 business days the company processes the package and uploads it to the system."? I messaged the shipping company to know what packages are processing and they said: "We are processing the packages from November 20th". TEN DAYS PROCESSING THE PACKAGES AND THE LAST FLIGHT IS THE NEXT WEEK. So I messaged them (again) to see if there's a way to process my packages ASAP. And they said: nothing, didn't saw the message They have a hotline in Miami and I can call from here so I'll try calling and see what happens
Yiwv
I contacted them and they told me that they are working hard to process all the packages (T.T) So in other news... This morning I picked-up the Motherboard. But when I bought it I miss the fact that B550 Motherboards are not compatible with Ryzen 5 3400G processors. Others news are saying that these processors work in these motherboards but officially they can't. So, better if I test it myself and see if this works. Yiwv
I HAVE THE WOOD! YEI! One step closer. I was looking for a 40cm Pine wood plank and just one woodstore have it. So we went there and yea, they had it. It was a little bit funny because I only needed one table, and the plank was right in the middle of a stack That wasn't a problem of course. They moved all the stack and grabbed the plank. I just wanted to check that the plank was 40cm so I asked them if they could meassure the plank and the plank is 39,5cm So now I have two 183cm x 39,5cm x 2,7cm planks in my room THE PLAN I was planning to deliver the aluminum and the wood to Mr CNC last week but the only person that I know that has a car with enough space to transport an aluminum sheet, can't transport it right now cause his car is broken and still figuring out how to repair it. I'll help him repair the car tomorrow and when we're done, we'll deliver the aluminum and the wood to Mr CNC. And tonight I'm going to make changes in the design to fit the wood
