THE CONCEPT

This project is heavily inspired from the game/anime God Eater series.

The God Arc (神機 Jin-Ki, God Machine) is the main weapon of choice of the characters in the God Eater universe.

Like the Aragami, these weapons play an important role in the story and in the gameplay.

the game is an action RPG with hack and slash gameplay. Players are equipped with God Arc weapons which can be transformed.

In the game, players are tasked to hunt massive monsters known as Aragami. The player character is a God Eater who can absorb energy from monsters

to unleash "burst moves", special attacks that deal a lot of damage to enemies.

The Weapon that we will be focusing is the buster sword of Soma Schicksal.

I decided to make a scratch build PC in a form of a Weapon. This is my first time making a weapon based scratch build.
I will be planning to make it as light and durable as possible
This will be a challenge because I plan to make it realistic in size and considering a water-cooled PC can be 30-40 kg in weight.
Carrying and customizing it everyday will be very tiring.

THE PROCESS

Hi everyone, I will keep this explanation of the process short and simple.

This project was purely made from scratch, no existing 3d model was used or remixed/edited.
The main skeleton was made
from G.I Steel pipe 1 1/4".
The body was made from ply board wood 3/4". I used a jigsaw to cut the board and sanded it. The body was fixed on the skeleton by using bolts.
I decided to use wood as the main body material because it is cheap, lightweight and easy to work with.

I made the 3D models using TINKERCAD for the fang blades, some mounts and other details. I used my Ender 3 pro 3d printer to print the necessary parts.

I used epoxy putty to fill the gaps of the wood and for the finishing, I added acrylic sheets 3mm on top of the wood.

Acrylic sheets are expensive ever since the pandemic began so I have limited resources, I reused some acrylic sheets from my previous projects.

The parts are screwed and fixed on the acrylic sheets and the acrylic sheets are screwed on the body (wood).

I used acrylic spray paint for the main paint-job and my airbrush for detailing. Vinyl stickers are used for the detailing specially on the motherboard.

For the rust/weathering effect, I used rust pigment and mixed it with wood glue.  I used synthetic leather for the finishing of the handle.
I also drilled holes on the body so that I can route the cables inside specially the power-supply cables.
Assembling everything is really hard because I need to balance the weight and carry it around almost everyday for painting, cutting and assembling/screwing.

It took me around 35 working days to complete the project.

The biggest obstacle for me is the weight. While completing the project, it gets heavier every time I add a component.

It is very hard to carry it in and out of my work place specially during painting phase where it took me two weeks to finish because of the rain and wind.
