TribalMind Posted August 17, 2009 Share Posted August 17, 2009 Hi All, I want to share my worklog on my ongoing modding project Tribal's Cube It is inspired on the Cube movies and the Hellraiser puzzlebox I started this year in april with the design and the building of an 3D model in Solid Works to get the correct plecement of parts and measurements After some 2 months of designing drawing and designing the electronics, I was ready to stat the build I'm building now for 3 months and the cube structure and finishing is ready Also the 100 RGB LED's are functioning (lateron it will become 200 LED's) status So far: Fully functioning PC inside Full ATX motherboard fits Normal PSU fits space for at least 2 HDD's Watercooled 100 RGB LED's controlled by microcontroller to change the color of the cube mechanics for raising and lowering of the drives are in place To be done Round and square drivebays with RGB Leds All cube functions work upon touch (electronics ready, software needs work) Placement of controllerboards and internal wiring for touch and LEDs Touch-Controlpanel (front hexagon) with amplifier board inside Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
