PaPang
In Mexico, there is a dying art which is what we call "hojalateria" or "laminado" which is the art or profession of straightening and repairing auto body sheet metal from a collision. Nowadays, due to insurance company policies, entire new parts are replaced instead of trying to repair them(a door for example). Some of these Mexican artisans could repair a curved door to its factory original state--however, the cost is the time that this takes and in many cases, it cost less to replace than to repair. I am not sure if it is the same case in the Czech Rep. but it is good to know that a modder has dominated this art and is keeping it alive precisely in his mods. KUDOS! Welding thin sheet metal? It does not matter if it warps even if you use low amperage, if you have the straightening techniques, it does not matter (I know a little from working in a metal-mechanic factory in administration), heheh! Open minded and daring modders pay attention! Cheers and Saludos
Zbysek
In Czech Rep. is auto repair business traditional employment. Here most parts are repair and not replaced, when it is possible reparation. Replaced new parts is mostly only for new cars. Some servicemen are really artists in this job. I am once studied automobile specialisation, now study mechanical engineering, so like work with metals and amother materials. This plate is not thin. Has 1,3mm thickness, so that more than plates in cars or cases. I welding with CO2 welding machine that is likely optimal for this works. Welder would it surely welding other way. I use only amateur method

PaPang
Amazing detail photos! It helps that it is 1/8 scale (correct?), more chance to make everything look real. Kudos! Cheers and Saludos
