MonsterMawd Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Cooler Master has grabbed the attention of my wallet. Their new HAF 912 Mid tower (aka "Antec 300 Killer") retails for $59.99 at Newegg and accommodates six 120mm fans, or a combination of two 200mm fans, one in front and top, or two 120mm fans in top, or 240 radiator in the top. It accepts 170mm CPU coolers and long graphics cards (up to 15.4â€/390 mm) including Radeon HD 5970 and NVIDIA Geforce GTX 480. Removable 3.5â€HDD cage. Filtered bezel and power supply. 3/4" gap of space behind motherboard for hiding and routing cables. derek_jones_38 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I really love the mnpctech mods I have seen so far. I especially love the fact that you don't always need a jigsaw to make cuts for mods. There's a great tutorial on using the dremel for cuts for windows and other areas. Some talented guys over there. Keep up the great work. Jones
MonsterMawd Posted October 30, 2010 Author Posted October 30, 2010 Thank you Jones Here is photos of the front bezel removed, if anyone was curious It's going to be a Porthole Window... I think it's going to look really cool with the drive installed
derek_jones_38 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 I'm pretty impressed with the fact that the HAF 912 actually holds a 200 mm fan at the front. Even the 690 ii advanced won't hold a fan that size. It's actually a pretty inovative case that's great for a small form factor case and it's a great price. I can see why they call it the antec killer. You guys really do great work. I have a Lian Li PC 65B Plus case and it has given me a little bit of inspiration to maybe mod this case for better cable management. I will however be getting a new CM case in a few weeks but haven't decided yet which one but it's looking more and more like the HAF X Might be My New Case soon. It really does have everything I am looking for. Keep up the Great work. I visit your site often and you guys have some great builds and reviews. Jones

The HF-X is a great choice, maybe I can mod one someday. as for the 912, I'm planning a window mod for the top I/O cover, will share pics as soon as it's finished!
derek_jones_38 Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I just caught the HAF 912 Advanced case that has the all black interior plus a side window. It's beautiful and it's almost perfect except for the water cooling capabilities on the interior but that's no a deal breaker. Jones
MonsterMawd Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 I was thinking about making a window in the top panel of the 912, so I could see this DVD drive I modified.
MonsterMawd Posted December 2, 2010 Author Posted December 2, 2010 I've posted the steps for adding a window to your DVD drive here, http://www.casemodblog.com/?p=7881
