MulleEng Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Hello there and welcome to my Project for Cooler Master's Casemod 2011. I hope you all will enjoy my work. First a little background information about me. My name is Christian Claesson and i live in Sweden, a cold Nordic country. I was born on the 31 of may 1993, you can figure out my age by yourself The thoughts i have about this mod is almost 100% done, but the work are not. I think the headline represent my thoughts quite well actually. I think the expression "Less is more" original came from Sweden but I'm not sure. That means that this project not will be anything with many colors, lights or that kind of things. It will be very simple, elegant and well you will see Have white in your mind. The rules says that i need to post pictures with all the components I'm going to use. The components that i will use are: (most important at the top) Cooler Master 690 Advanced 2 White Amd Phenom II 1090T MSI 870A Fuzion 2*2GB OCZ Gold 12800 1600Mhz 5 Noctua NF-P12 Samsung F3 1000GB Fractal Design Newton R2 1000W XFX Amd Radeon 6950 Asus Xonar Essence STX i think that was all, if I'm going to use more stuff it will show up on the pictures. Enough talking, here are some pictures. Advanced 2 White Noctua NF-P12 Noctua NH-U12P Noctua MSI 870A Fuzion Asus STX XFX 6950 OCZ Gold AMD Phenom II 1090T Fractal Design Newton R2 1000W Samsung F3 1TB
MulleEng Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Good evening from Sweden, it's time for some pictures again. If you remember what i asked you before to keep in mind, the cleaver one will know that there is something white incoming. Well not exactly white but I've dissembled my P12 for painting, and they are going to be white. And i also have a picture of the sleeve that i are going to use, and guess again, it's white. Enough talking, here are the pictures. The sleeve. Fan blades of the Noctua. The fan holder or whatever you say. My very own wind tunnel Unfortunately i don't have any pictures of the fan engines masked or the engine house, bu don't worry they were masked during painting. Yes i have painted the fans, but the images are on another hard drive that not is plugged in, and i don't want to give you to many pictures at the same time.
MulleEng Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 Ready for some images? I hope you are because here they are. Some pictures of the Noctuas when they have been painted. They are white so they will match the case and the rest of the components, that I eventually will paint. If you have any questions, give good or bad criticism or want to say something, just write and i will answer as fast as possible.
MulleEng Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 I like the all white. Lookin good. Good luck. Thanks for the good words, it always good to hear inspiring words that make you wanna continue and work on the case:)
PaPang Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Great idea! White is the new black of yesteryear, hehe. Let's see what he you have in mind. BTW, when painting plastic, laying a light coat of primer helps avoid "fisheyes" in paint. If they show with the primer, that means that something is oily or humid and needs further cleaning. However, it is hardly visible plus it is on the blades anyways. Looking forward to seeing how white your project turns out which is a good challenge. Cheers and Saludos

Are you talking about the "holes" on the house of the engine, i can tell you that they are supposed to be there, maybe a rest product of the manufacturing. Here are a little picture of things to come. And good night from Sweden for tonight.
MulleEng Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 Time for some update, here are the pictures of my fans, and they are all sleeved You can also see the logo of Cooler Master at picture N.2. I gonna have a little competition, the question is; which side panel does the logo come from? The prize is the honor. I'll also post a bonus picture, it doesn't have much content but i like it. I accidentally touched the tripod, during the taking of the photo.
Night_Flyer Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Wow Not only your mod will be a piece of art, you manage to do the same to your work log My preference for case color goes out to black as things in my vicinity just don't stay light. But I must say all the white does have a nice/tight look Looking forward to see your progress

It was not long from now that i made a huge step in how to control my SLR, and that made a huge improvement of the quality and art of the pictures. To be honest, a time ago I also liked black cases most and of course the 690 II Advanced black were one of my favorites. My favorite was the CM Cosmos S 1100 (that i made a mod of, black and white). But when i saw the CM 690 II Advanced White i fell in love. To keep your things a little more white i recommend you to clean more frequently (Just kidding) I know for myself that it is hard to keep white things clean. Just a few days and the case is dirty and dusty.
