Today, I'm about to go on an all out mission for 2 days.

As usual, here are the parts

IMG_1106-1.jpg

IMG_1107-1.jpg

IMG_1108-1.jpg

IMG_1109-1.jpg

IMG_1110-1.jpg

First, I'll be dealing with the back part

IMG_1111-1.jpg

here's the piece from last monday

IMG_1112-1.jpg

Stick it here

IMG_1113-1.jpg

And I'll be using the permanent glue by Dunlop

IMG_1115-1.jpg

Sanding the acrylic for better grip

IMG_1118-1.jpg

done

IMG_1119-1.jpg

rinse it to remove excess dust

IMG_1120-2.jpg

wipe it

IMG_1121-2.jpg

here goes nothing

IMG_1116-1.jpg

IMG_1122-2.jpg

IMG_1123-2.jpg

done....

IMG_1125-2.jpg

I'll let it dry up first

IMG_1126-1.jpg

while I glue the wood side

IMG_1127-1.jpg

Here we go, nicely done

IMG_1128-1.jpg

few minutes later, both of them are now half dried

let's hope they stick

IMG_1129-1.jpg

and let gravity do the following work

IMG_1130-1.jpg

hey hey hey, there's a new player, aluminum

IMG_1131-1.jpg

my trusty tool box

IMG_1133-1.jpg

let's mark 26 cm on the aluminum piece, a little bit more higher than the original height of the case

draw the line

IMG_1137-1.jpg

IMG_1138-1.jpg

lets cut it

IMG_1140-1.jpg

done

IMG_1141.jpg

lets mold the aluminum piece as same as the front panel.

IMG_1142.jpg

it fits, but need something in the middle to support it

IMG_1143.jpg

I know, those leftover acrylic will do the job

IMG_1144.jpg

I'll mark the aluminum same as the emerged block

IMG_1145.jpg

IMG_1146.jpg

done, draw the line

IMG_1147.jpg

IMG_1148.jpg

lets start cuttin

IMG_1149.jpg

IMG_1150.jpg

IMG_1151.jpg

btw, here's the acrylic I stick just now

IMG_1152.jpg

fits nicely and doesn't come off :D

so, some time, since I updated, so lets continue

so here's a piece of zinc which I marked on it

IMG_1156-2.jpg

now, since the height of the thing is approx 21cm, I'll be doing 26cm

IMG_1157-2.jpg

Picked a spot to put down the spade

drew 2 lines

IMG_1158-2.jpg

cut it out

IMG_1160-2.jpg

I randomly picked a spot to bend the zinc

IMG_1161-1.jpg

bendy bendy

IMG_1162-1.jpg

now for the harder part, bending a small piece....

with the help of a pair of pliers :D

IMG_1163-1.jpg

there we go, nice and clean

IMG_1164-1.jpg

stick the small bent piece into one of the holes on the thing

and it fits like a charm

IMG_1165-1.jpg

still, there seems to be 2 holes on both side of the piece, now what? Just cut a piece as same as the side. But how? One cheap trick, spray paint the side on a piece of zinc and cut it :D

IMG_1166-1.jpg

IMG_1167-2.jpg

IMG_1168.jpg

a few minutes passed and the paint has dried up in the sun, ready to cut.

IMG_1169.jpg

IMG_1170-1.jpg

same technique with the other side and

IMG_1171-1.jpg

IMG_1172-1.jpg

after fitting with the main piece, there is still leftovers :D which means I can stick it to the main piece very easily

IMG_1173.jpg

drew a v shape :D

IMG_1174-1.jpg

and cut it out

IMG_1175-1.jpg

bend the cut section

IMG_1176-1.jpg

IMG_1178-1.jpg

fits perfectly now

IMG_1179-1.jpg

draw lines for cutting out excess sides

IMG_1180-1.jpg

everything dried up

IMG_0934.jpg

stick the main piece back and hot glue it

IMG_0935.jpg

nice :D

IMG_0936.jpg

so I sticked the 2 pieces on the main piece with the same technique used in the one before with the Dunlop glue and I couldn't show it to you guys/gals as I only have a pair of hands. Sorry

IMG_0937.jpg

after

IMG_0938.jpg

since its a bit shaky, I use those leftover bezels

IMG_0939.jpg

and bend it to fit the hole inside

IMG_0941.jpg

IMG_0942.jpg

IMG_0943.jpg

IMG_0944.jpg

IMG_0945.jpg

cut it in half

IMG_0946.jpg

and bend it to fit

IMG_0947.jpg

so here's the unstable looking housing

IMG_0948.jpg

again , with the same technique

IMG_0949.jpg

IMG_0950.jpg

IMG_0951.jpg

let them dry for a while and fit them in there

IMG_0952.jpg

some time later......

:D

IMG_0971.jpg

IMG_0970.jpg

so here's the cutting( abandoned) i did for the first time and it didn't worked out really well

IMG_0967.jpg

anyways, i'll cut it and see what happens.......

IMG_0968.jpg

well, ain't as bad as I thought...

hmm......bruises

IMG_0973.jpg

sandpaper to the rescue then

IMG_0974.jpg

well, I'm gonna try sticking on the panel

IMG_0975.jpg

sanded the side panel to stick it

IMG_0976.jpg

IMG_0977.jpg

same technique....

IMG_0978.jpg

IMG_0980.jpg

IMG_0981.jpg

some time later....

IMG_0982.jpg

MOAR weight !!

IMG_0983.jpg

nice and stable

IMG_0984.jpg

add a little scratch/scuffed texture on the side and the middle part of the acrylic

IMG_0985.jpg

there you go, a nice looking side panel with windows ROLF

IMG_0988.jpg

ok, its time for me to take a rest, since I've been doing this since the morning till evening. C ya, and stay tuned tomorrow for more :D
