‘Less is more” is the philosophy I had to embrace on this build. I quickly realized that in order to achieve this project I had strip down the frame to its bare minimum. Removing obstructions for fans, reservoir, pump, and an entire motherboard was no easy task, everything had to be mounted straight into the case since there was no additional space for any brackets.

I apologize for the lack of updates but due to the time limitation I been prioritizing working on the case. Here is my last update before my final reveal on Tuesday November 30th. This project was inspired by my love of the car modding scene. The Mastercase eg200 reminds me of a sandwich style case which have a special place in heart. The size limitation was a fun challenge that required some creative solutions, like using the extra space under the case in order to fit the motherboard tray and 15mm thick fans inside. I decided to save some money and make the motherboard tray out of a standard sheet of metal that was welded to the frame with some L brackets. Most of my time was spent on trying to fit everything and working on the frame. There was a lot of cutting, filling, sanding, and painting. Just like my cars, this build needed to be de badged. I still have a lot of work ahead of me. Thank you for taking the time to check out my project and good luck everyone.

After contemplating for a couple of days and mapping things in my head, I broke it down to a list of projects that will guide me to complete this build. Mounting the motherboard, which includes creating a second bottom to extend the clearance on the motherboard side for 15mm thick fans. PSU bracket moved from top to bottom. Clear space on the drive bay to fit the reservoir, my reservoir is the exact dimensions as a 120mm fan and it should fit since I have 121mm of working room inside the case. Mounting my cooling system (radiator, pump, reservoir and fans). Body work which includes paint, filling and other miscellaneous tasks. And lastly If there is enough time, custom cabling since there is no room to hide anything. Waiting on sheet metal to arrive for the motherboard tray, and currently working on fitting the cooling system, cutting begins tomorrow. Fan pictured for dimensions purposes.

Hello my name is Ivan and I’m formally entering the tower mod category in this year’s Case Mod World Series. About six months ago I built my first water loop on a Masterframe 700, and ever since then I been itching to build a loop on a very small case. I heard about this competition on the 4th of October and it finally gave me a reason to make it happen. As opposed to trying to design a case Cooler Master hasn’t invented, I decided to highlight a beautiful design Cooler Master did make. For this project I will be building a water cooled Mini ITX system inside the MasterCase EG200.
