Martyribus Immortalibus

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, updates will come over the next months of course.

I actually started this one over a year ago, its been exhibited too, but never finished, so it will be finished here hopefully for the deadline.

Everything starts with an idea, but I would rather not have had this idea.

Contrary to many other builds here, this is as always all 100% handmade

MARTYRIBUS IMMORTALIBUS, and it stands proudly respresenting all the 36 odd pieces of art I lost in the Fire at Caseking.

Yes I lost my lifes work. Almost 18 years, 13000 hours, 36 Cases, including the 3 that won prizes here at the CMWS, over 80 awards and a lot of other private stuff, all burnt to death.

Thats why this case/scratch build will probably never be fully completed, but just presentable in the present state when displayed.

The scars will remain and the wound will never heal. They are all in Casemod  heaven museum now.

Here is a video of what happened, so you understand the theme better. Please feel free to share it! this is casemod history.

Martyribus Immortalibus, stands for the Immortal Martyrs, each and every one of them that died that night. Casemods heil!

Thsi plate is for covering the mainboard on this build and shows all the names of the fallen heroes I lost on November 12th 2021 in Casekings faulty building!

RIP to them all.

More to come.

20230216_155444.thumb.jpg.c3b6f2ae8ba8a4135b7a891b45d3fd0b.jpg

snug as a bug in a rug, plenty of cavities and opeings to spread the power all over the build.

20230216_155444.thumb.jpg.c3b6f2ae8ba8a4135b7a891b45d3fd0b.jpg

howdy doody guys. here is another little update, then the finals after with some videos

first the legs, that can be detached

image.thumb.jpeg.083b26eb0b75e8b7e6e67b666c634b93.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.ffdc4d0167fc22e220ed0fc16669e321.jpeg

made a new shield of arms with my name n logo, with leds to light it up in the back after mounting.

also did the first staining, just to sand it off afterwards.

image.thumb.jpeg.eb6779fe817becc73014f69a6aa0ecd0.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.97052dd106bbf1dab0d1450f0f26f9a0.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.d0c800a5d0ccb2277f267e33cb7b3d03.jpeg

after sanding it i airbrushed in the darker shades of black and sanded again., to give it the wear and tear wetherbeaten look a bit. basically to age it.

image.thumb.jpeg.1a7af3fc6078d013956fdfe4eb4012a0.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.0ca6115d70572e49ead6eb8fd3c60002.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.d22d66a563f2b9d7f923265e52842a3b.jpeg

the whole color scheme really popped out in a medieval way once i polished it up and stuck all the fittings in place.

first led tests with fans in place.

image.thumb.jpeg.52f67be778406882b8d00dead133bf01.jpeg

the names of all the fallen heroes, that were all burnt to death at Caseking.

This case stands for 13000 hours of Casemod passion that I lost there. 36 Casemods built in over 17 years.

My lifes work. Just because they couldnt pay attention to the safety precaution

measures the building would have needed. And no. they havent compensated me till this day.

Quite the contrary, they are doing their best to avoid having to.

They story will come out.. wait n see.

i fixed in the monitor with its lift. yes the monitor lifts to reveal itself, otherwise concealed behind the mid leather patch.

.image.thumb.jpeg.2f01d96afa6d9feaad028f3f208ea353.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.9543402afa03b83a44761f5ceca24eda.jpeg

then after wiring it all up testing the lift and the internal speakers as well as all the hardware. and now for some final pics and videos.

After loosing my lifes work at Caseking in their fire, this was indeed a very emotional build.

I have been working like :) making over 50 mods for my future Casemod Museum and they were mostly all lost in the fire.

Its was indeed a huge blow and the past 13000 hours of passion cannot be replaced. It took me some time to pick up a toola agin, but its what I live to do. This is the first one respresenting the loss and will be in my museum that is still planned too. However one certain department will be dedicated to the fire and withhold the 36 odd devastated mods that are badly or totally burnt to death. Yes they will also be in the museum, because they are also a part of modding history. Along with the whole story of how it happened, what happened after that and why I had to make piece of art.

For now though. in the next post, some final pics and videos showing how the Medieval table turns into a modern da state of the art computer simply by flicking  a switch.

Hope you like it.

As mentioned, the Monitor lifts and usually you would then have a basin in the table where it was, So I came up invented and built a linear motror mechanical lift that lifts it while also lifting and raising the keyboard tabel, so yopu have one flush table all the time.

Its was tricky to come up with, but works more than well.

Hence when closed, all you see is a 500 year old table 🙂

here are some instagram posts showing it.

I finished the last set offs and the sound actually just a few months ago. so its still been work in progress till, about a month ago.

Now the speakers work, even though it still has an external plug in possibility.
