  3. Next Update: Today, part of what everyone is waiting for is the gold plating of the components. The whole thing is done in my basement at home using electroplating. This process refers to the electrochemical deposition of metallic deposits, i.e. coatings on substrates in an electrolytic bath. In simple terms, a minimal current flows through positively (component) and negatively (electrode) charged objects and the gold can therefore adhere. The whole thing then looked like this...This process was repeated with all components Fitting, Ram cooler and CPU cooler. The power source was a laboratory power supply that was very easy to adjust. All the material and tools were provided to me by Tifoo Galvanik and I must honestly say that it really is so simple that even a beginner can do it. The important thing at this point is to know which material you have in front of you because not all liquids are suitable for every material. Some went by dipping and some only with an electrode pen and special liquid. Sorry I don't know why the photo is rotated.... And here is the result: So folks, the rest will come another time.   5. Hello community there has been a lot going on lately not only in the modding area but also privately. So sorry for the late update. The box was just too clean, so I simply used black paint, a piece of fabric and some modelling paint. For the rust accents, I applied modelling paint with a dry brush, also known as dry brushing. Last but not least, the font and assembly of the switch Wiring the power switch was still on the list then came the assembly I will write a final post for the assembly.
  6. Evening, Next small update. A big THANK YOU to Alphacool for this great package, you guys are the best! The water cooling parts meant that the case could be machined further, the tank was to be attached to the front, but as there was no space inside, the aluminium cover had to be cut out cleanly so that the tank fits. The cut-outs were made with an angle grinder and a very thin cutting disc. The base plate also had to be machined as otherwise there would have been no room for the radiators in the case. The first gold accents have already been applied. The technique comes from modelling and is called dry brushing. Next update soon, I promise.
  7. Sorry it took a bit longer but time was a bit tight. My first attempts with a resin printer are finally behind me. It was all plug and play but you could certainly improve the quality even further, but I have a little more time now. As the radiator is to be mounted out of the box, the outlets for the hoses must be marked and drilled. Alphacool has a very good invention for this, a laser fitting, so you can also mark them precisely so that you can drill the holes correctly later. The hardware was fitted in CAD, but the test must be carried out before painting to avoid having to paint everything twice. I also have to show some hardware unfortunately not very up-to-date but enough. A big thank you goes out to Seasonic, Alphacool and Thermal Grizzly who supported me here. thanks guys!!!!! After all the cut-outs came the colour. I decided on a graffiti colour from the Kobra brand, which covers very well and doesn't cost too much. The colour is a little lighter than I thought, but I'm still working on it. The whole thing has already been sanded briefly with fine sandpaper and can be sprayed without primer. Leave the colour to dry and continue with the Towermod.

Hi, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my 3 sponsors: https://shop.alphacool.com/en/shop/ - https://seasonic.com - https://www.thermal-grizzly.com I had the idea of building a PC in the box some time ago, so I had already made a start by cutting 2x 80mm holes in the base to place fans and repainting the box black. As it was supposed to be an HTPC at the time, I didn't like the green colour as it didn't fit on my sideboard. To attach the GPU to the side, a bracket was needed, which was even left over from the HWLuxx Modding Contest from 2021 as it was a bit too small to hold the GPU properly at the time, but luckily I'm not one to throw everything in the bin straight away because "you can still use it" ... The box was therefore perforated further because the hoses had to come out somewhere, the radiator had to be attached to the box and also the bracket for the GPU, and there were also buttons and various holes for cables etc. Yes I know a countersink is not a tool to make the holes bigger but unfortunately there was nothing at hand to do the job.... xD Fortunately, the case was almost complete, the mainboard tray, a holder for the power supply and a box that illuminates the MWlll logo were still missing. This was simply made using 3D printing, very easy and quick without losing much time. The assembly of the 3D parts was very easy as it was not possible to drill more holes, so everything was fixed with small neodymium magnets to keep everything fixed and yet flexible, because you never know if you might have to move one or the other part. Anyone who knows these magnets knows that they are very strong and hold a lot. For the tray, 4 per stadium foot were planned, but 2 were completely sufficient. So-called M3 inserts were used to attach the mainboard; these are melted into the holes provided in the plastic using a soldering iron. Now that should be it once more updates follow.   10. Evening, A small update. The case has been gutted and the GPU mount that was used on the rear part of the case for vertical mounting has been cut out of the rest and mounted on the top of the case so that the GPU can be mounted there later. As you can see, the hardware is not installed on one side but will be visible from the front where the glass front sits and also on the back. The mainboard tray consists of 3 aluminium flat bars to save some weight as the project will weigh a few kilos. The colour is exactly the same as the case colour, so I won't be doing any further work on it. You will be able to see hardware or water cooling components everywhere...
  11. This year I would like to submit 2 projects to the contest a tower mod and now also a scratchbuild. Now I'm 33, it's been some time since I actively played eSports... But it all started back then with CoD 4, Prestige 10 and a few hours of game time on my account. You just knew how the game worked. That's why I want to create a tribute build to MWIII which was released last year. Everything here should actually sit on a 540mm radiator and be cooled by it. The mainboard sits in the box and the GPU, as you can see, outside because there is unfortunately no room for a dual or triple fan GPU in the box.The power supply sits at the back to distribute the weight a little. An Alphacool Rise Flat Reservoir with D5 pump was planned as the tank pump combo. But unfortunately this is not possible in terms of time. But I'll put the design in my drawer and wait until the time is right to build it. The whole thing is to be slimmed down a bit and will only be built into the Amo Box The whole thing is cooled by an Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora Solo and a 55mm 140mm Nexxos. Unfortunately there is no room for the GPU inside as it will be an Intel Arc A770 16GB which I am currently using. Unfortunately I can't find a 4060 single fan GPU so there would even be room for one inside. The inside is designed in such a way that it adheres to the box with strong magnets, so it is also possible to place everything inside at a second moment. The power supply will be a Seasonic Focus SGX-750, the thing is so small, it's just amazing how much technology fits into so little space. More soon....
  12. Good evening, another update on the Mod. First of all I had to make a plan how to modify the case, because the hardware is not high end the project should still look very good and get a special touch. The idea was to turn the mainboard by 180 degrees so that the connections point upwards and are routed to the rear via the lid. As there is then no more room for a second 360mm radiator, this should be installed at the rear and the second at the front. The case comes with 2 huge 200mm fans, which are to be retained and used to cool the rear radiator. Yes, I know the airflow won't be the best, but with 2 radiators and a complex loop, the CPU and ram will certainly be well cooled... There are some modifications that need to be done on the back to be able to mount the radiator as well as on the plate where the 200mm fans are mounted underneath. On the back, I decided to cut out a rectangle and mount it using a white plexiglass plate screwed to the rest of the frame. After cutting with the Dremel, the programme included filing and sanding to make everything fit perfectly. It took some time, but the result was convincing and was left as it was. As the white colour is a bit distracting, everything will be painted black later. Thanks for reading and see you soon.
  13. How long I have waited for this day! Let us begin... As you can see from the title, the project is called n°79, as some of you will know, the number 79 stands for the precious metal gold in the periodic table. The case is a Cooler Master MasterCase SL600M a really nice and spacious case. The colour concept should match the theme of gold, black and grey, it shouldn't look too overloaded so the case will keep its colour and will "only" be modified with gold accents. The concept with the PSU at the bottom of the case and the rotated tray remains, for space reasons the tray is pushed a little to the centre of the case and the GPU moves to the other side so that it can be longer and thicker as the sheet metal wall of the case is cut out at the back so that the GPU can breathe. The glass panel can also remain and does not have to be redesigned. As the case only supports 360mm radiators at the top and bottom, my idea is to place them at the front and rear, as this makes it easy to reach the connections to connect all the cables in the lid and so they are not visible and can be led out at the top of the rear, but this requires a major intervention in the entire case structure. There are also 2 large 200mm fans included in the scope of delivery, which go into the rear and ventilate the radiator and hardware inside. Next update soon...
