Hy @ all,

this is my Entry for the Scratch Build Category on the 2013 Competition. It´s called 666 or Hells Machine, it will be a huge monster of a Case with a really diabolic System in it. :D

It will contain 2 individual Computers, first a small Mini ITX System (which will be placed in the Top Section of the Case) and 2nd a complete high End Gaming Rig with all the latest hardware (which will be the main System for the build) beside that it will contain custom made sidepanels, Front and Top, a custom Watercooling Loop, 3d printed Parts and finally a custom Airbrush Paintjob.

Before the original Case arrived, i already started to work out some of the details which should be integrated...

here a first sketch of the lower Sidepanels:

the first parts were printed:

and the reservoir for the watercooling loop also was prepared....

then the first sketch of the lower sidepanels was cutted out of a sheet of alloy:

After that the cases finally arrived so that i could start to build the basic case out of them:

the most of the parts had to been overworked...because, like you can imagine....they´re not supposed to be assembled like this....

23.jpg

then i also made the cutouts for the lower sidepanels, so that i could attach the prepared parts on them...

in the lower part of the system, there will be 2 480mm radiators mounted....so i had to make sure that they can be securely mounted in that position....for that i cutted a parts from one of the bottom panels (which i don´t need anymore) and reused them to make a mounting for the rads....

Beside that i also overworked the Reservoir for the Watercooling loop, so that it gets a bit more color and a few LEDs so that it could light up :D

As next, i started to work on the backside and Top of the System....i wanted to get rid of some of the holes in the backside so i cutted out a few parts which will cover them....

Then i painted the frame of the main case black again...so that i get a fresh canvas for the airbrush paintjob...which will be done later....

But before it´s get time for some airbrushing action....the Window for the main sidepanel has to be cut out....

The next step were fitting in those 2 480mm radiators in the lower section....

69.jpg

after that i started to work on the Front of the Case...

71.jpg

74.jpg

Then i take out the hinges which were used to open the sidepanels in the lower section and put them on their new position...so that the sidepanels now opens upwards instead of downwards....nearly the same was done with the hinges of the upper sidepanels. But i don´t wanted them to open upwards....instead of that they shouldn´t be visible through the windows....so they only changed their position a little bit....

As next, i overworked the drive cages which will be needed to mount a lot of SSD´s/HDD´s invisible under the main system

then i started to add small "rivets" on the outside of the complete case (over 10000 so far)....
