Hi everyone this is my project, i started this year, hope u guys like it!

Specs:
MB - Asus Z87 - A
CPU - i5 4690k
Cooler - Waitting
RAM - 16Gb
GPU - R9 270x Hawk
Storage - 3 SSD's
PS - Waitting
Fan - Waitting
Sleeved Cables - SilverStone Black/Gold

So i will tell you my story.. :D
Im from Portugal and when i bought my pc parts i wanted a "beautifull case", but all the cases that i liked were out of stock, so i decide to take the oportunity to make one that i will not complain for anything! So i made a draw about what i wanted, and then a 3D version of it.
This is not my first project, i made one last year, to test my skills and to see if i can really finish it, i ended up winning "This Is My PC" from Shapphire what i didnt expected (my case was literally made from old iron bars and other low quality materials).
When i finish my firts scrath build i always thought making this one, but of course "no money no honey", so I had to put this new project on hold.

I started to work in Dezember, thats means i have the "money for the honey" and i start draw some ideas, and next put them on SketchUp 3D program (its the only one i know how to use) and "Eureka" project donne!

About the project name, its simple i decided to call "tankian Project", because this is all about me, evolve my skills, challenging my self to do my best and of course to satisfy me as a person! B)

Now lets see some photos!

Project that win Sapphire contest "This Is My PC" (with the awards, SSD HyperX and 8G Kingston Kit):

Hi everyone!
I got some smal news, yeah the project will go slow but steady i only have the weekend and 1hour per day in the week :)
Today i finish one important step, the plate that covers the "fan tunnel", its important because with this piece on place i can now use Poliester Mass to cover all edges and make them flat and better looking.
If u check the 3D model on first topic u can find that on top of the plate that covers the "fan tunnel" is a black box, that box is a simulation of an SSD, so i will have one SSD in exhibition and the power sata cable and sata cable will come from the hole in the plate.

Plate that covers the "fan tunnel"

So as u can see i glue the plate, in the first time i wanted to use rivets(dont know if is correct, its mostly the same of screws) to fix it in place, but using them it will end with the flat surface that i wanted, so best and easy way was glue everything with a strong silicone!
Tomorow i will see if it worked  :P

So for today is this, not much but as i said will be slow but steady B)

Best Regards for everyone!

Today i end up with the plate well fixed in place, in other words i could put the poliester mass in place, it took me like 45mim to set up all.
Next step will be sanding all edges and sufaces so everything can be flat and clean B)

Hello!

So this week i really didnt have the time to make anything, only for thinking about how to solve some problems, such as:

- How to suport acrylic pieces in place without sticking:
- Possibility to put RGB leds beneath the acriylic pieces parts so that the edges become illuminated.
- Underlay some spots, so they are not visible.

So because i didnt have acrylic or leds became a little confused about what to do, but today i had time to go see acrylic and aluminum pieces to actually have a physical view of things.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee .... Eureka! : D

Here is the result:

4OebGPr.jpg?1

9EGM22U.jpg?1

FC1kKJa.jpg?1

And the idea that I want to do with the leds:

led-acrylic-open-signs.png

The track has a width of 1cm, in the case will use acrylic 5mm and Kapaline (if possible 4 / 5mm) to cover the spots that i dont want visible.
By the way if the idea of the leds beneath the acrylic does not result i will not have to change anything in the structure that did ^^

Tomorrow i will give the primary and take more photos to show! :P

Best Regards for everyone!

Hello everyone, baaaah i got some bad and good news!!!

So, first the bad ones.
Seems like i will not paint my case this weeking, im a little sad because i really wanna see some color on it :(

Buuuuut.... there is a reason for that, and is a really good reason :D

I will explain, some weeks ago i receive an email from Cooler Master Portugal, we trade some emails, i told them my story about my projects and about me and to my great joy they ask me if I wanted their sponsorship!!! Of course i said yes, and now im waitting for some parts to arrive in the next week, but that will be a surprise :P :P

So because a good news never come alone (ahahahah), i got another one today!
I'll have to delay the painting because the company where i work, offered to paint the Case!

As you can imagine this is really a big motivation for me to make the project even better!

okok, now a photo of the progress:
Now im putting acrylic poliester to close all small holes.
