Guide arm will made from ½ inch pipe for mixer tap and piece of solid aluminum wire 35mm2 cross section:

Insert wire in a pipe (for rigidly) and bend on sketching:

With a fine file made a notch for drilling:

Centering for drilling by self-tapping screw:

While drilling holes, I press down the guide arm by wooden bar:

Take a look at rollers.

As a blank a tension pulley block with guide rollers was chosen:

Since the furniture hinges retained its open/close function, shields may be in three positions.

First, fully open:
