Recommended Posts

Done with the LCD frame holder

used double adhesive tape on the LCD board so it doesnt move around.

C360_2012-09-12-17-17-19_org.jpg

added back painted acrylic on the sides, and removable Lenses.

Spacers were made to keep lenses in place and to keep distance requirements exact

this is mounted by double adhesive for easy maintenance

This frame will prevent excess light from coming out of the projector,

alternatively i can be swapped with different translucent acrylic to allow a colored boarder to be visible (this will be a future experiment once it works)

Final arrangement:

Front Fresnel, colored Frame, LCD (not installed in this picture) and the back fresnel

I've tested for leaks and there were leaks all over the sides ,

thankfully I took this into consideration in the design, etched the perimeter for gasket/ sealant

2012-09-15221709.jpg

Ok, first thing I did to stop the leak was to tape everything up to put in the high temp sealant

and manually cut where the sealant needs to be placed.

2012-09-16000734.jpg

I've also put in sealant at the front before placing in my LED light,

dip your screws in in sealant also before using it on the LED its one of the problem areas where water comes out from

2012-09-16121130.jpg

Placed in all the wiring I need to Light the LED including the digital thermometer,

After which I filled the hole with Sealant

ok been inactive for quite a while due to work...

anyway, I've been studying how to make the face of the CPU,

My material of choice is still acrylic plastic

I've been trying to figure out how I could make pepakura work with corel and sketchup.

So far Ive been able to cut a couple of trial parts,

Finalizing the layout for cutting

Modding the cooler master hyper 212

removed the aluminum fins about 7 pcs and cut the top part of the copper heat pipes with a grinder

drilling holes into the acrylic I laser cut ( got lazy measuring the exact location of the holes so I just drilled it

2012-09-23145230_zpsc701a894.jpg

Test fit the acrylic and everythings ok. Sealant will hold acrylic into place and will take care of any leaks

Hyper 212 now has a water block

  • 2 weeks later...

Installed the Cooler master 212 hyper evo on my motherboard

Used plastic cement (typically used in Gundam models) to polish up the acrylic parts

I found it useful in sealing up small leaks aswell.
