Assembling: Mobo/GPU bracket on

 

This is where the fun and the stress cross their path. Will they fit together?

* The globe isn't in this picture 

 

The best way to insert the PC module inside the glass vase, is upside down. I used a hook end steel rod to hold the bracket by the center. 

 

Everything is pretty tight fit in there:

 

Those fittings are really close to this RGB ring / tank inlet. That will not be easy to do the water line that has to pass through the PC module direcly from the top to the pump out:

 

I used those really low profile 90° fittings for:

I was perfect!

Now those 3 bracket holders:

Assembling : Hope on

 

This is the step I am worried since I got this vase. Yes, I took the measurements and it was suppose to fit right on, but the vase and the Atlas case, are both ovale (4mm off the circle for the vase at the bottom) and this vase have a conical shape, so, its pretty hard to détermine where Hope will stop inside. 

 

Let's try this:

 

My Hope was right on! It fit like it was made to be in there:

I didn't like those three large opening on the side... so... I dissasembled everything and I merged them in the bath :

 

 

 

This opening is now way better than before :

Assembling : Mobo/GPU + Hope on V2

 

Before the assembling, I made few more mods on the Mobo/GPU bracket. Some details did bother me: the fittings, tube lenght and few apparent ugly sections.

 

 

Then, I assembled again. That was way more easier this time, thanks to this vase's larger hole.

Testing

 

Before going further, I had to test. So, I temporarily glued fittings on the in and out that goes in the globe tank and started to fill... then, I used to much pressure to fill the loop and I caused a leak on the rad (I heard the water drop sound on the 230mm fan blades).

 

I dissasembled Hope to take a look:

 

The leak come from a previously epoxy fixed section of the rad. I didn't take any chance and filled this section with silicone:

 

Job done and thank god, that was an easy fix:

 

Now, lets go in and test again!

Testing again

 

There's something wrong with the 230mm fan, it do not turn. I beleave the power supply mooved in a way to block the fan blades. 

 

I dissasembled Hope again, but this time, I leaved it in the vase and I opened Hope's bottom:

 

I used an old desk paper tray that I cut to make a fan grid:

 

Then, I put that PSU and cover back:

 

Finger crossed... I used an external pump this time to bleed the loop and... no issue!

 

I found a volonteer cobaye to test the system in combat situation one last time before the final assembling:

 

This last test is a pass!

Cooler Master: MasterFan 200mm ARGB

 

I did few tests with this MasterFan; it's silent, efficient and well lid.
