Satella (Hybrid Scrap Satellite) 2009 Mod Entry - Completed

Hmmmm, I been thinking sunny and guys, what if we had a few more days so we can put the finishing touches to our projects? Yeah, I know we had a good 2mo. and 20 days to finish, but several started not too long ago. I certainly would not like to rush just to finish on time and report a half-baked project as finished.

Instead of finishing a satellite, what if you had time to do a space station? (I don't know, would you?)

Hoping to hear from you all.

Cheers/Saludos

opps, i am pretty sure it will be a sattelite, with a little defense system...

Come today or as promised Sept. 01 (my late mom's bday) I'll have all 5 CM components to suit requirements and i'll be in total hibernation (modding undisturbed) for a week. With all the handskill you and I have can make it rolling, I have all my wares ready at my junkroom and the big difference is that I am all alone that no one breaks my concentration!

Cheers/Saludos/Peace man!!!

But you will be in contact during your "hibernation"? Nicky commented that we should wait maybe 10-15 days to see how we are doing on our projects. It is not unheard of some contests giving an extension on the close date. Maybe nicky is right, more down the road and we will see.

May the modding gods be on your side and help you finish quickly!

Cheers and Saludos

Yup SIr PaPang, I'll be online most of the time, here in CM Forum and tipidpc.com (in AFK mode) checking when there's coffeebreak time...

I think our 20 days countdown started right now.

Extension, well if they can do that, that's nice. But I am working for the CM project after some of my backlog works (tomorrow they'll be delivered). Uninterrupted will be the right word to make it to the deadline (Painting my project might take a lot of days, we have a very bad weather here right now, mixing rain, hot sun the rain again - kinda sicking to weakling). But nicky's just waiting for us, I think his finished (over with his project).

Daily updates of photos and worklog are on previous pages, depending on subjects

Correction for nicky. He finished the basic mod (the case) but he is adding more things for bling and complexity. I suggested he go ahead because he has the "modding bug" and to make a better show vs. all the fabulous car themes appearing in the contest.

Who can blame him? When you see these fab projects, you really feel you must upgrade yours so that you won't fall behind--happened to me, I assure you!

Cheers and hurry up with your posts :D

Guys, there's a lot of changes and adding happening between pages 1-9...I'm just damn curious that I've reached page 9 so fast with less input.

Added are:

-the geoeye-1 satellite that looks like the one i am doing now, just a coincident (i just saw it yesterday while browsing again for more satellite) - page 1

-the CoolerMaster items i'll be using - page 1

-getting ready for some panel cut?! - page 1

-Preparing for initial painting of materials - page 2

-the glowing ruler - page 2

-CoolerMaster logos on the solarpanel - page 3

-CoolerMaster 3 x 120mm stock fan modification - page 4

-CoolerMaster Aero 7 fitting and modification - page 4

Randomly, I sneak ang add something new... thanks for the reminder!(that it looks like my post never move at all).

I love you all, especially the wall-e of frenkieNL!!!

There's lot of pending modifications and orders still coming here at the shop... But on the 7th day of this month, hibernation time)

OMG sunny, you are right 9 pages! A lot of guys have dropped by to say hello, that is magnificent! Now I see you are an idol to a lot of them, well maybe idol is not the best word but rather a lot of folks respect you and that is great too. Makes modding easier and more fun, I'm sure.

Once you go to "hibernation" you will be posting so much that you will have easily the double amount of pages you have now! Plus the comments, you surely will have the longest thread here! Hoping to see you in action soon again, always a pleasure.

Cheers and Saludos

And since it's a flying object, why not the eagleeye take control...

The Fangrill Cut

Took one tattoo image from the net and simplify it for a fangrill template (the Xtremist type).

A 2.00 US$ coping saw (blade blunted for ease of turn cutting acrylic), 1/8" clear acrylic, the printed image fit to needed size, glue and top up card.

apply glue as needed

on to the acrylic protecting paper...

Instead of finishing a satellite, what if you had time to do a space station? (I don't know, would you?)

And presto!!! I really want it to be a new breed of Satellite (not just orbiting),

The one that can fly anywhere using a thruster with fullpack defenses in case of a hostile OVNI/UFO of PaPang's origin is traced.

opps, calling Steven Spielberg?!?!

The Sattella thruster

2988952060053927514S600x600Q85.jpg

from an old AT power supply, i got this half bodied type of casefan, make them uniform, since 2 are not really the same.

2879420740053927514S600x600Q85.jpg

removed unneeded parts...

2476842080053927514S600x600Q85.jpg

attached then to a newly acquire scrap (taken out of some sidepanels I mod yesterday - i don't know the name)...

and still the owner didn't know about this (calling tpc kenne0822, just barrowing bro)

2639110250053927514S600x600Q85.jpg

something like this, with the acrylic already with round pattern for cutting...

this mod continuation on page 10

Preview:-

just a snappy on what I'll add (maybe an update to previous pages post)

2741409520053927514S600x600Q85.jpg

The flexible sunny's ledbar, as planned like this... (subject to change with early notice)

2688560810053927514S600x600Q85.jpg

Lighting parts outside Sattella (cut to minimum, avoiding to look like Christmas lantern)

2135662980053927514S600x600Q85.jpg

pinpointing exact location of the 3 CM 120mm fans (modded with permission)

will update soon... back to modding...
